Danube Region: Ukraine becomes first non-EU country to ever preside EU Macro-regional Strategy

The 10th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), partially organised by the European Commission, takes place in Bratislava (Slovakia) and online on 26 and 27 October.

Under the headline ‘Towards a green and digital Danube region’, the Commission, Slovakia’s representatives and hundreds of participants discuss a broad variety of topics ranging from digitalisation to biodiversity, the role of youth and youth policies and the support to non-EU Member States.

The Forum will also include the handover ceremony of the Presidency of the Danube Strategy from Slovakia to Ukraine. This is the first time ever that a non-EU, non-enlargement country takes over the Presidency of an EU Macro-regional Strategy.
