Dmytro Tomenko holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from the Poltava State Agrarian University. Has always has been involved in the work of student activist groups. In April 2019, became the Head of the Student Council of the university, where has worked for 2 years. Since May 2019 Dmytro is the project coordinator of the NGO “Unit”. Starting from August 2019, multiple times has conducted the “Very Verified: blended-learning media literacy course”, developed by IREX together with the EdEra online education studio, for students from all over Ukraine. Since September 2019, he is the Young European Ambassador. Since February 2020, is an expert on the accreditation of educational programs of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance and helps Ukrainian universities to improve educational programs in the specialty 051 Economics. In July 2020 became the SDG Ambassador in Ukraine. In July 2020, has been selected the Ukrainian Youth Delegate to the United Nations, which is why in October has represented the voice of Ukrainian youth at the 3rd Committee meeting of the 75th UN General Assembly and the 59th session of the UN Commission on Social Development. Since January 2021, conducts local training sessions as the facilitator of the British Council’s Active Citizens program in Ukraine. Since April 2021 works as a project manager in the Poltava business association.
For the last 5 years, he has been the organizer, co-organizer, and fundraiser of hundreds of local and All-Ukrainian schools of development, training sessions, educational programs, and other events.
