Daryna is studying for a Bachelor degree in Eastern European Historical Studies at Київський національний університет iменi Тараса Шевченка (Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko). She is a social activist, currently working on social action projects focussing on European integration, environmental protection, and gender equality. Daryna is interested in researching the history and politics of the Western Balkans, focussing on European integration, to study their experience and apply it to Ukraine. She believes that new ideas, long-term intensive self-improvement, and development in Ukraine will lead to what she considers a dream world – a successful, democratic country with the rule of law.

It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
