One year volunteering as animal care assistant in Belgium

The Wildlife Rehab centre (Opvangcentrum voor Vogels en Wilde Dieren) in Oostende, Belgium, invites young people (19-30 years old) to join its team for 52 weeks, from 1 May 2022 to 30 April 2023. Candidates from all Eastern partner countries are eligible to apply.

The volunteer will mainly help the staff in feeding and weighing animals, preparing food, cleaning cages, doing dishes, but also repairing cages and helping with constructions. During this activity, you will learn how to rehabilitate all types of birds and mammals.

The volunteer will be accommodated in a house with other European Solidarity Corps volunteers, and will receive €360 a month, covering food expenses and pocket money.

The deadline for applications is 21 February.
