‘EU4Dialogue’ project launches grant call for locally-led grassroots initiatives in Armenia

The EU-funded ‘EU4Dialogue – Phase II’ project, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has announced a call for proposals aiming to support locally-led grassroots initiatives in the priority border communities in Armenian regions.

The eligible communities include Ararat region (Ararat consolidated community), Gegharkunik, Syunik, Vayots Dzor and Tavush regions, Shirak region (Akhurik settlement), and Armavir region (Margara settlement).

The initiatives should contribute to conflict transformation by improving the living conditions of conflict-affected populations, strengthening human security and community resilience, supporting post-conflict recovery, and promoting social cohesion.

The call is open to civil society organisations, foundations and other non-profit organisations registered in Armenia, with physical presence, demonstrated access and local-level engagement in the target areas.

The thematic priorities of the call are environment (climate, energy); youth, peace and security; women’s empowerment; disability rights and inclusive infrastructure; education;
trauma healing; and other topics.

The grant amount available for communities is US$ 23,000 – US$ 90,000 per project.

The deadline for applications is 3 July.

Building on the achievements and lessons learned from the first phase, EU4Dialogue Phase II aims to contribute to confidence-building, strengthen the resilience of the conflict-affected communities, and foster social cohesion. The initiative supports locally driven solutions that contribute to human security, post-conflict recovery, community empowerment, and promotion of sustainable peace.
