EU launches call to boost strategic investments, and further deepens its partnership with Armenia
At the first EU-Armenia Summit, held on 5 May in Yerevan, the European Commission launched a call for expressions of interest aimed at identifying concrete investment opportunities across key sectors in Armenia and accelerating their implementation.
The Call targets investments that advance connectivity, human capital, and economic modernisation.
In line with the broader Cross-Regional Connectivity Agenda and the EU-Armenia Connectivity Partnership launched at the Summit, projects will target energy, transport, and digital sectors. The Call also prioritises investment in education and research, healthcare capacity and supply chains, and advanced manufacturing and industrialisation, including technology adoption and higher value-added production.
The Call is open to private companies, joint ventures, and consortia established in the European Union, European Economic Area or Armenia.
Submitted projects must be located in Armenia. Proposals must involve a minimum investment of €30 million, with at least 20% equity or own-resources contribution from the project promoter.
Participation does not create any partnership or legal relationship with the European Commission, nor does it guarantee financial support from the EU or partner financial institutions.
The submission portal opened on 5 May 2026 and will remain accessible for 12 months.
Proposals will be assessed on a rolling basis by committees meeting quarterly, in accordance with the criteria set out in the Call, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
