TUMO Labs, a technology, applied science and engineering education hub geared towards university students and young professionals, invites Armenian students and anyone interested, over the age of 18, to join their Guided Self-Learning programme.
TUMO Labs is powered by the European Union Delegation in Armenia. It brings together partners, both local and international, to bridge the gap between higher education and industry in Armenia.
Two TUMO centres are located in Yerevan and Kapan.
TUMO Labs’ guided self-learning programme is an educational guide to the technology sector, providing students and young professionals with market-relevant skills. The programme includes expert-developed modules and mini-projects, and provides educational resources.
The programme now has three tracks: Python, machine learning, and JavaScript. At the end of each level of the modules, self-study participants complete mini-projects that help them understand how well they have mastered the topics of that level. The final projects are reviewed by the self-study participants and sent to the senior programming specialists at TUMO Labs. The duration of the mini-projects is individual for each student.
After successfully completing the modules and mini-projects, students have the opportunity to participate in practical projects at TUMO Labs with IT companies.
Participants must be over 18, have a good command of English and be able to dedicate 6-8 hours per week to self-study in the course of this programme, which can last from 6 to 12 months. The programme is free of charge.
TUMO Labs recently introduced the Guided Self-Learning programme to students at the Kapan branch of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. They learned how they can pursue the course alongside their university education, how it will expand their skills and what valuable networking opportunities TUMO Labs provides for future careers.
