Dads Matter: poster contest in Armenia

The ‘EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against Gender Stereotypes and Gender-based Violence’ programme has launched a poster contest in Armenia, dedicated to the International Men’s Day (19 November). The competition is implemented by UNFPA Armenia and Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre NGO (YIC).

Under the title ‘The Importance of Fathers’ Engagement and Care in the Family’, the contest aims at promoting gender equality, increasing men’s engagement in childcare and parenting, and shifting stereotypes on women’s and men’s roles.

The best three designs will receive monetary awards and promotion in social media. The winner will receive around US$ 360 and the promotion of the poster on the billboards in Ijevan (Tavush region), Vanadzor (Lori region) and Gyumri (Shirak region). The second prize is around US$ 240, and the third prize is around US$ 160.

Each applicant can send 1-3 designs (6000×3000 mm, 300 dpi, landscape, text, if any, in Armenian) until 23 September.

The award ceremony will take place in the framework of the event dedicated to the International Men’s Day.
