A contest for journalists – ‘Tvapatum 2024’ – has been launched in Armenia.

One of the contest’s nominations, “House and Place”, is supported by the European Union as part of the ‘Initiative for Media Quality and Resilience’, implemented by the Media Initiatives Centre (MIC).

The contest aims to encourage quality and responsible journalism, the creation and dissemination of factual materials, human-centred stories, the use of innovative approaches and modern tools.

Prizes range from AMD 250,000 to AMD 300,000, with the EU-funded nomination offering AMD 250,000.

The materials must have been published between 11 September 2023 and 10 September 2024 in Armenian (registered in Armenia) media, regardless of type (TV, radio, print, online, social media) and genre (news material, special report, analytical article, interview, journalistic investigation, editorial column, documentary, photo report, multimedia, podcast, etc.).

The author can submit a maximum of three materials (by completing three different applications) in the same or different categories.
