This factsheet summarises the EU assistance to the people of Belarus since the fraudulent presidential elections of August 2020. This assistance has been recalibrated away from Belarusian public authorities and state-owned enterprises and towards non-state actors.
So far, €170 million has been mobilised for civil society, human rights defenders, independent media, educational and cultural institutions, and small and medium sized businesses in exile.
