
This national strategy defines Armenia’s gender policy priorities for 2025–2028 and outlines the corresponding action plan. The strategy focuses on reducing gender discrimination in governance and decision-making, promoting gender-sensitive socio-economic policies, narrowing gender gaps in the labor market, addressing gender discrimination in education and healthcare, preventing gender-based violence, and integrating gender-responsive approaches into climate policies.
In particular, the Strategy identifies 6 strategic directions (priorities) and activities stemming from those directions. These directions (priorities) are: overcoming gender discrimination in all spheres of public administration and decision-making, advancing gender-sensitive approaches in socio-economic sphere, decreasing gender gap in labor market, overcoming gender discrimination in the spheres of education and science, ensuring equal opportunities for women and men in health care, preventing and overcoming gender-based violence and discrimination, creating gender-sensitive and gender-responsive approaches in regard to climate change.
