Ursula von der Leyen arrives in Kyiv for third visit


European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Kyiv, she tweeted today.

“​​In Kyiv, for my 3rd visit since the start of Russia’s war. So much has changed. 

Ukraine is now a EU candidate,” wrote von der Leyn. 

She added that she would discuss with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal how to continue bringing the Ukrainian and European economies and people closer together as Ukraine moves towards EU membership.
