Georgia: Rural festival ‘Visit Tsalka’ takes place with EU support

A rural festival “Visit Tsalka” was held in the Georgian town of Tsalka. The festival took place within the framework of the EU-supported EMBRACE Tsalka project and was organised by CENN, Tsalka Local Action Group (LAG) and the Farmers’ Association of Georgia.

The aim of the festival was to raise awareness about the Tsalka municipality. It brought together young people, local entrepreneurs, representatives of authorities and visitors of Tsalka.

The festival included an exhibition and sale of products from entrepreneurs, start-ups, small businesses and other EU-funded projects. There was also an educational event for young people, which included an exhibition and sale of children’s paintings. The proceeds from the sale of the paintings were donated to support the Ukrainian people.

Guests of the festival also had the opportunity to explore the hiking route laid out in Tsalka Canyon.
