EU4Youth: National Conference of Youth Councils brings together young people across Moldova

From 1 to 3 May, the National Conference of Youth Councils brought together 54 young people from 21 districts of Moldova. The event created a space for dialogue, learning, and cooperation among young leaders actively involved in local youth participation and community development.

Throughout the conference, participants discussed key topics related to youth participation in decision-making processes, the development of youth councils, and the implementation of local initiatives aimed at improving opportunities for young people in their communities.

The programme included interactive sessions, workshops, experience-sharing activities, and an opportunities fair designed to support networking and encourage active youth engagement

During the conference, the new presidency of the National Network of Local Youth Councils of Moldova was elected. The Briceni District Youth Council will lead the network for the upcoming term.

This activity was implemented by the National Network of Local Youth Councils of Moldova with the support of the ‘EU4Youth: youth engagement and empowerment’ project, co-funded by the European Union and the German Government.
