On 21-22 June, the Ukrainian Youth Councils Association, supported by the ‘EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment’ project, held a two-day training for young girls and women. The event, ‘Career in politics: planning, development, leadership’, brought together active and ambitious young women determined to become the new voice of Ukrainian politics.
Over the course of two days, participants actively engaged in personal and professional development. They mapped out their individual political career paths, practiced confident public speaking, mastered advocacy techniques, and explored how they could shape and influence political processes in Ukraine.
The training focused also on practical approaches. Participants worked on their CVs, took part in mock interviews, identified personal strengths, and built concrete development plans – all aimed at equipping them with real tools for entering and succeeding in the political sphere.
A lineup of inspiring speakers generously shared their knowledge, personal journeys, and insights. Their mentorship helped young girls and women feel empowered, and opened doors to new opportunities in public life.
The Ukrainian Youth Councils Association is a grant beneficiary of the ‘EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment’ project, which is co-financed by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and implemented by GIZ.
