The equipment was handed over in the framework of the COVID-19 vaccination and vaccine preparedness and deployment programme, funded by the EU and implemented by the WHO in Azerbaijan.

Training has also been provided to health care workers, and promotional materials have been distributed stressing the importance of vaccination.

In addition, the programme organised a media tour to the Shaki-Zaqatala region, where journalists were briefed on the projects being implemented locally.
