Armenia: EU-supported Local Action Groups from Lori and Tavush regions win Best Booth nomination at harvest festival

The EU Local Empowerment of Actors for Development in Lori and Tavush regions project (EULEAD4Lori and Tavush Regions), implemented by the UNDP in Lori and Tavush, was represented by the Local Action Groups (LAGs) of Tsili Tsov, Aghstevi Hovit, Gandzor, Lorva Dzor, and Tashir Plus at the harvest festival of ‘Rural Life and Traditions’.

The Festival took place on 14-15 September, near Yerevan. The LAGs showcased the products and harvests of their beneficiaries.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, visited the LAG booth, exploring the products, engaging with the beneficiaries, and learning more about the EU LEAD project.

The booth presented by the LAGs won the ‘Best Booth’ nomination for its outstanding work, and the project received a grass mower as a prize, which will later be provided to one of the LAGs.

The EU Local Empowerment of Actors for Development in Lori and Tavush regions project (EULEAD4Lori and Tavush Regions) is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in partnership with the UN Food and Agricultural Programme and in close cooperation with the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
