Armenia: EU launches new project supporting CSOs

The EU-funded ‘STRIVE for a Better Future’ project was launched in Armenia today.

The project aims to increase the sustainability, stability and accountability of Armenian civil society organisations (CSOs), enabling them to play a key role in raising awareness, deepening democracy and serving the electorate in Armenia, particularly the vulnerable.

In a democratic society, confrontation, debate, and differences of opinion are important, but when it comes to defending vulnerable populations or accompanying reforms, a consensus must be found. And this is the objective of this project: to initiate and support networking, capacity building, volunteering and engagement actions and to facilitate synergies and collaboration building among civil society,” said the EU Ambassador to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin.
