EU-supported ‘Harvest Festival’ in Armenia

On 18 September, the Harvest Festival took place with EU support in Kotayk, Armenia.

More than 200 farmers from Armenia and beyond presented their products, including organic honey, broccoli, organic asparagus, berries, and tea.

The EU is happy to open this new edition of the Harvest Festival 2021’, which has become a yearly tradition. It is a pleasure to see that our €9.7 million contribution through the European Union-GAIA Armenia, which includes a €2 million contributions from the Austrian Development Cooperation, has led to tangible results in the sphere of sustainable Agriculture, enabling farmers to achieve higher yields, diversify production, and become more self-reliant during these difficult times,” the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, said.

The Harvest Festival is organised by the Green Lane NGO in cooperation with Green Training Centre LLC and with the support of the European Union, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and Kotayk Regional Administration.
