The 'Enhancing land consolidation in North Macedonia' project supports the modernisation of the agricultural sector by addressing land fragmentation and improving farm structures. It builds on previous EU-supported initiatives and focuses on strengthening land consolidation as a key tool for rural development and more efficient agricultural production.

The action combines policy reform with practical implementation. It supports the update of the national legal and strategic framework, while also carrying out land consolidation activities in selected areas, including land re-allotment, improved registration systems, and the development of essential infrastructure such as access roads and irrigation.

At the same time, the project promotes active participation of farmers and landowners, ensuring transparent and inclusive processes. By improving land use and farm organisation, the initiative contributes to higher productivity, increased competitiveness, and more sustainable agricultural practices, while supporting alignment with EU agricultural standards.
