The overarching goal of the project is contributing to media freedom, media and information literacy and public resilience to disinformation with the purpose of strengthening democracy in Georgia. We will work in three strategic directions:
a. Research media structures, transparency and regulations. Initiate and organize multi-stakeholders formats for media advocacy and credible media work. Create and publish user-friendly materials on media transparency and regulatory frameworks.
b. Provide direct financial support and 4-dimensional safety program for local media.
c. Organize hackathons around media consumption and literacy. Provide direct financial support for innovative project development. Organize a series of MIL workshops for young consumers in Tbilisi and regions of Georgia.
