As part of the EU and BMZ co-funded ‘EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment’ project, an impactful small grant scheme was launched, inviting youth organisations from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to submit project proposals. With a grant pool of up to €15,000 per project, the competition aimed to elevate the reach and quality of youth work across these countries.
The call for proposals was met with remarkable enthusiasm across the Eastern Partnership countries, receiving over 250 applications from youth CSOs. Ukrainian youth organisations were given particular focus areas: inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and youth participation in Ukraine’s recovery efforts.

Following a rigorous selection process, nine Ukrainian organisations emerged as winners. These outstanding CSOs include:
Due to the current security situation in Ukraine, the winners’ award ceremony and orientation session were conducted online. The event served a dual purpose: recognizing the recipients’ achievements and providing them with essential information to manage the grants and implement their projects effectively.
The interactive format of the session allowed participants to ask questions, share insights, and discuss strategies for effectively engaging young people in their communities. These nine projects will now move forward with the support of the EU4Youth IV, contributing to a brighter, more inclusive future for young people across Ukraine.
