Armenian Brandy: EU supports B2B session of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in Yerevan

The European Union has supported the B2B session of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles held on 20 May in Armenia as part of the EU-funded ‘Technical Assistance for the Development of Geographical Indication (GI) ‘Armenian Brandy’’ project.

Bringing together international experts, producers, buyers, industry representatives, and key stakeholders, the event provided a platform for professional exchange, partnership building, and the international promotion of GI Armenian Brandy.

At the B2B session, Armenian producers had an opportunity to present the quality, authenticity, and rich heritage of Armenian Brandy to global audiences and establish new commercial partnerships and exchange expertise and best practices.

“Through this initiative, the European Union in Armenia continues to support Armenia in strengthening quality assurance systems, certification and traceability mechanisms, and the protection of the origin and authenticity of Armenian Brandy as a Geographical Indication,” the EU Delegation said in a Facebook post.

The project also contributes to improving the sector’s international visibility, increasing consumer confidence in products with protected origin, and aligning local production practices with European and international GI standards.
