ENI CBC Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus Programme

Project Description
The ENI CBC Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus Programme aims to strengthen relations, raise capacities and share experience among people and organisations from Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus through joint actions that will increase the overall quality of life in the border regions.
Specific Objective
The overall goal of the Programme is to contribute to positive changes in specific fields, including social, educational, health care, environmental, tourism, safety and security sectors.
Expected Results
On the one hand, the Programme supports enhancement of public sector skills and tools for providing services at regional level. On the other hand, it pays particular attention to the development of social capital in the region, encouraging activity of the third sector – NGOs, communities, local inhabitants.

The Programme will achieve this progress through these themes:

- Promotion of social inclusion and fight against poverty.
- Support to local and regional good governance.
- Promotion of local culture and preservation of historical heritage.
- Promotion of border management and border security.
