Georgia: Grants to improve the employment opportunities of vulnerable groups

The Institute for Change and Innovation is looking to fund innovative business ideas in Guria, Adjara and Samegrelo. The competition is announced within the framework of the EU-funded project ‘Skills for Employment and Cooperation – Perspectives for the Regions of Georgia’ (SECTORs).

The project aims to improve the employment opportunities of vulnerable groups by encouraging sectoral partnerships, offering entrepreneurial education and introducing innovative approaches to contribute to the economic development of the project target regions.

The call is open for young people under the age of 35 with incomplete secondary education, secondary or higher education from low-income families, women of any age facing economic and social difficulties, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons or people who have lost their jobs and incomes as a result of the pandemic.

Funds under the grant competition should fall between € 500 and € 5,000. The applicant’s share must be at least 10% of the total project budget.

The deadline for applications is 25 February.
