Young European Ambassadors in Azerbaijan host events to empower young women in business

Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) in Azerbaijan have continued to empower women in the field of business by organising a series of events on 25-26 March to promote gender equality and support for a more inclusive business environment.

During the LadyBees event in Ganja on 25 March, YEAs provided a platform to address common stereotypes that hinder women’s advancement in business. The following day, the EntreSHEpreneur workshop in Sumgait on 26 March focused on equipping women entrepreneurs with practical business strategies and empowering them by presenting the success story of female YEA entrepreneur.

Following the success of the two events, YEAs in Azerbaijan are preparing to embark on the next phase of this empowerment journey with a third event at the end of March.

On 30 March 2024, EuroClub Baku will host “RecruitHER” which will focus on eliminating barriers faced by women in the recruitment process. The event aims to provide practical solutions and insights through an engaging session led by an experienced labour law expert who will examine the legal intricacies surrounding recruitment practices and explore their implications in both Azerbaijani and EU labour laws.

The event will also allow participants to share their experiences and strategies together to overcome gender related challenges through open discussions.

By providing women with the necessary tools, knowledge, and support, the YEAs initiative in Azerbaijan aims to contribute to the broader goal of fostering a more equitable and prosperous society.

The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) initiative brings together socially engaged youth from the six Eastern Partner countries, the European Union and the United Kingdom to foster dialogue and to raise awareness about the EU and its cooperation with its Eastern partner countries.
