EU and UNDP help Georgia develop a guide to mediation

The EU and UNDP have supported the development in Georgia of an easy-to-follow ‘Mediation Guide’, which will help resolve conflicts to avoid cases going to court.

The guide explains how mediation works. It contains practical guidance for court mediation centres, judges, mediators, mediation parties and their representatives. The document is available in Georgian.

The manual has been prepared by the Mediation Centre of Tbilisi City Court and based on its mediation practice, which is in line with the Georgian Law on Mediation and Civil Procedural Code of Georgia.

This support is part of EU efforts to keep making the justice system in Georgia work better for Georgian citizens
