Valeria Lopotenco

  • Country of origin: Moldova
  • Current residence: Moldova

Valeria is a passionate advocate for EU values and the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union. She started her civic journey at the age of 14, and since then she has become considerably more interested in implementing fascinating projects in her own community. Another one of her passions is music, which she has been practising for more than 10 years. Being a part of the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative, she intends to encourage more young people to be involved in their community and enjoy the beauty of their own country, with the help of the EU. As Robert Schumann, one of the main pioneers of the EU once said: “To send light into the darkness of men’s hearts – such is the duty of the artist”.
