Sofia has a background in political science and holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Development, specialising in Digital Rights. She has worked as a project designer and manager in companies dealing with urban regeneration, advocacy, innovation, and education. Her curious and dynamic nature has led her to travel extensively, especially in Georgia, where she lived for a year and worked as a cultural mediator, and in the Balkans, where Sofia became passionate about peoples, traditional culture and journalistic and photographic reportage. Intersecting her interest in geopolitics with the latter, Sofia is now devoting herself to intercultural and interreligious dialogue, developing projects in the cultural and creative sector aimed mostly at young people.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
