Mariam is studying at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Driven by a passion for STEM from an early age, she excelled academically during her secondary school studies, culminating in a triumphant victory at the Leonardo Da Vinci competition. She has also represented Georgia at the Intel ISEF platform in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. After this success, she transitioned into the realm of International Law, and has dedicated herself to advocating for global goals at a grassroots level. Her commitment and contributions were recognised with the prestigious Niko Ketskhoveli School Award as part of the non-governamental organisation ‘Caucasus Environmental NGO Network’ (CENN) project. Additionally, her active involvement in the Erasmus+ Program in Moldova broadened her global perspective while fostering meaningful connections and experiences. She believes that the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative will further enrich her by providing diverse cultural exchanges and valuable educational prospects.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
