Mariia, an enthusiastic student of International Relations at Ужгородський національний університет (Uzhgorod National University), is deeply interested in diplomacy and international relations, aiming to forge stronger connections between nations. Actively involved in the public sector, she volunteers in her city, has interned at an NGO combating disinformation, and strives to enhance her community’s well-being. She’s a passionate student and is always ready to learn more, which is evident from her partaking in different courses from the George Washington University and the University of Tartu, and often being a participant in Erasmus + projects. Committed to fostering the integration of Ukraine, especially its youth, she emphasises the importance of incorporating European values into daily life.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
