Mariam is an English Philology student at Shota Rustaveli State University who loves to travel and hike. She enjoys working with children and is eager to share her knowledge and experience with them. As such, she participates in a range of volunteer activities, including teaching English and a variety of other skills to children. She is a volunteer teacher at Batumi American Cornen and has previously worked at a summer school in Romania. In 2023, with the support of Erasmus +, she studied at Vytauto Didžiojo Universitetas (Vytautas Magnus University) in Lithuania. Her goal for the future is to ensure that every young Georgian has access to a high-quality education.

It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
