Gela is currently studying for a Bachelor degree at the Faculty of Psychology at Ilia State University. He is a FLEX Alumni from the 2021-2022 cohort, and has spent an academic year in Nevada, US, where he actively participated in various volunteering activities. In addition to studying for his Bachelor degree, he is actively involved in different community projects in Georgia. Gela believes that becoming a Young European Ambassador is a significant step in his professional and personal development. He is committed to contributing to the strengthening of European values, including tolerance, human rights, respect, transparency, and more. Alongside fellow ambassadors from Georgia and other countries, Gela looks forward to actively engaging in initiatives that promote these shared ideals.

It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
