Gayane is a third-year student at Yerevan State University, majoring in Applied Statistics and Data Science. She has spent a semester at the University of Houston-Victoria in the USA within the Global UGRAD program. Gayane works as a Research Assistant at the Armenian Bioinformatics Institute, focusing on analyzing and modeling microbiome landscapes, associated with chronic disease progression. She is determined to become a renowned AI scientist and contribute to the development of the field in Armenia. Gayane has been the co-founder and the president of the “սաTurn” educational NGO since 2020, and she is also currently volunteering as an English instructor for refugees and as a copywriter and a scientific news researcher for the “Gituzh” (“Power of Science”) Initiative.
