#StayHome and Celebrate Novruz

YEAs in Azerbaijan were encouraged to post a story or a photo/video on their social media channels, with the hashtags #staycalm and #stayhome. The aim is to promote the YEAs initiative once again and show that YEAs are and can be role models for other young people. Novruz is one of the most anticipated holidays in Azerbaijan. One of the traditions of Novruz is coloring hard boiled eggs and competing by bumping them against each other.
This year, to celebrate the Novruz holiday, the YEAs in Azerbaijan painted EU flags on one egg and different social issues on the others. Then, they shared online stories where the eggs representing the EU cracked the ones representing the problems. Through this online project, YEAs wanted to raise awareness about the EU’s efforts in Azerbaijan in empowering society and demonstrating how many similar traditions we share in EaP and Europe.
