Green Spirit Prespa

Project Description

'Green Spirit Prespa' is a project focused on promoting sustainable socio-economic development in the Prespa region through eco-friendly tourism, community empowerment, and preservation of local heritage. The project supports the development of innovative tourism experiences such as birdwatching, gastronomy, and astronomy tourism, while creating new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship among youth and women from rural areas.

Through training, mentoring, and community-based initiatives, the project strengthens the capacities of local civil society organisations and supports the promotion and branding of traditional products and cultural practices, including the preservation of Prespa’s culinary heritage. In parallel, the action contributes to improving local tourism and environmental infrastructure, increasing the attractiveness of the region as a sustainable destination.

By combining environmental protection, cultural valorisation, and local economic development, 'Green Spirit Prespa' contributes to strengthening social cohesion and encouraging greener and more inclusive development pathways in the Prespa region.
