RE-SAFE: EU, Denmark and UNDP open call for community-based security and recovery ideas in Ukraine

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine has announced a call for proposals for the ‘RE-SAFE: Breathing Life into Communities’ Ideathon. The activity is supported by the European Union as part of the ‘EU4Recovery – Community Empowerment in Ukraine’ project and the government of Denmark.

The event aims to develop the capacity of community residents to implement socially relevant and innovative ideas to restore and improve public safety in their communities.

The ideathon will take place on 23-24 April in Lviv.

The organisers are looking for teams of motivated participants with innovative ideas who are ready to work on improving community safety and contributing to community reconstruction by forming sustainable, strong and productive partnerships. The applicants should live and work in the communities of Donetsk, Dnipro, Zakarpattya, Zaporizhzhya, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumi, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv oblasts (in the government-controlled areas).
