Existing businesses and start-ups in the Cahul and Ungheni regions of Moldova will benefit from grants of €14,000 to €24,000 each, awarded by the EU-funded programme ‘EU4Moldova: Focal Regions’.
Grants will be awarded to 16 companies from the focal regions of Cahul and Ungheni to boost the development of the private sector.
Financial assistance will be provided for buying equipment, goods, works and services for business development, for the promotion of circular economy models,the creation of new jobs, and increasing the attractiveness of focal regions for new investments.
The selected entrepreneurs will also benefit from free mentoring and training.
The deadline for applications is 6 June.
The ‘EU4Moldova: Focal Regions’ programme (2019-2024) supports smart, environmentally friendly, inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development in the Cahul and Ungheni regions to ensure a better quality of life for citizens. The programme has a total budget of €23 million, is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
