European Solidarity Corps: volunteering in Germany – sustainable gardening, food and education

The German organisation ‘Sieben Linden Ecovillage’ is looking for EU Solidarity Corps volunteers, including from the Eastern partner countries, to take part in eco-community project ‘Lebensbogen’, for 35 weeks starting 1 March to 31 October.

Three areas of volunteering are available.

  1. To join the garden team that grows 45 to 55 different types of vegetables, fruit and herbs using different growing techniques. Open for participants from Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine.
  2. To join the kitchen team, which prepares two warm meals for both the community and guests every day (40-100 people usually, sometimes more for bigger festivals). The kitchen uses the vegetables grown in the community gardens and cooks a large variety of vegetarian and vegan food. Open for participants from Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine.
  3. To join guest service team, which has different housekeeping tasks, i.e. setting up the dining room for mealtimes, preparing the bedrooms, organising programmes for children. Open for participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine.

All participants will be part of the group of young volunteers called Kolibris and live together in shared caravans. Sieben Linden Ecovillage is located near Beetzendorf municipality, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

The deadline for applications is 17 December.
