DW Akademie looking for new App Coordinator in Ukraine – apply until 12 July

The EU Project ‘MediaFit Programme for Information Integrity in Southern and Eastern Ukraine’, implemented by the DW Akademie, is looking for a Colmena App Coordinator in Ukraine from August 2022 until March 2023.

‘Colmena – free collaborative tools for creating and sharing information’ is an app that brings together digital ecosystems for local and community media. The creation of the app has been underway since 2021 with the support of DW Akademie, as part of the Global Crisis Initiative (GKI) funded by the BMZ.

This free app brings together all the basic tools for local and community media production workflows: recording, editing, sharing, remote interviewing, streaming, group meetings, file sharing, remote collaboration, publishing and broadcasting. Colmena is designed for a wide range of devices and is fully functional with little or no internet connection.

The prototype of this integrated open source solution is currently being tested and improved by media partners, developers and consultants. The first fully functional version was launched in April 2022 and interested media can apply for free use and support

Colmena will soon be available in Ukrainian for Ukrainian journalists and media.

Therefore, DW Akademie is currently looking for a Colmena application coordinator in Ukraine.

The deadline for applications is 12 July.
