Ukraine: House of Europe opens temporary ‘embassy’ in Mykolaiv

From June 25 to July 18, the EU-funded House of Europe programme will hold events on Soborna Square in the centre of Mykolaiv to present EU opportunities and programmes for culture and creative industries, education, social entrepreneurship, health, media, and youth work to residents of the city and the region. For this, the House of Europe team brought the Mobile Pavilion to the city – a transportable multifunctional structure designed by a group of young Ukrainian architects.

From Tuesday to Sunday, the Pavilion will be open for consultations on grants, career opportunities, residencies, and exchanges offered by EU institutions, EU Member States and the United Kingdom. Every Friday and on the weekends, the managers of the House of Europe will present various opportunities in person. Lectures, panels, and workshops by Ukrainian and EU experts will feature inspiring content and skills. Open-air film screenings on a big screen, concerts by Ukrainian performers, and DJ sets round off these days.

After the end of the programme in Mykolayiv, the Pavilion will visit two more Ukrainian cities: Kamianets-Podilskyi (in July and August) and Ivano-Frankivsk (in September). Admission to the event is free with some events to require pre-registration.

House of Europe is an EU-funded programme fostering professional and creative exchange between Ukrainians and their colleagues in EU countries and United Kingdom. The programme focuses on different professional fields: culture and creative industries, education, health, social entrepreneurship, media, and youth.
