Ukraine: EU-supported Crowdfunding Academy invites students to study


The UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine and the &Seed Agency are enrolling students to the Crowdfunding Academy 2021 to help entrepreneurs and start-ups raise the funds they need to develop their own businesses. The initiative is being implemented by UNDP as part of the United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme (UN RPP), with financial support from the European Union.

During the Academy, leading experts in crowdfunding, copywriting, design and social media will share their knowledge on how to use online platforms and innovative methods to raise money.The trainings will take place from July to September.

Entrepreneurs from Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson oblasts, and the Azov Sea coastal region of Zaporizhzhia Oblast (Berdiansk, Melitopol, Tokmak, Prymorske, Pryazovske, Orikhiv, Hulyaipilske, Yakymivka and Bilmak districts) are invited to apply. The organisers will select 30 applications.

To take part in the Crowdfunding Academy, they should submit an application providing a description of their business idea and explaining why and how much money they need to raise. Participants are required to have an existing company/business/project registered in Ukraine, or to present a business idea and its implementation plan.

The deadline for applications is 15 June.

Participants in previous Crowdfunding Academies have successfully raised funds (overall UAH 500,000) and have found foreign investors for their projects.
