European practices and standards in responding to disinformation: online-seminar in Ukraine 

On 16-17 February, a seminar ‘Responding to Disinformation: European Practices and Standards’ will be held online to discuss and share with Ukrainian stakeholders the European experience in the field.

The event is organised by the project ‘European Union and Council of Europe working together to support freedom of media in Ukraine’ in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. The Representatives of the media, civil society, government and local authorities are invited to participate.

The seminar will present examples of state policy, legislative, and strategic responses to disinformation in traditional and new media. It will also provide the EU’s strategic approach, Council of Europe standards and European countries’ responses to combating disinformation. Also, the online platforms, civil society, public service broadcasters and governments representatives will share their anti-disinformation practices.
