EU4ResilientRegions: Kherson hospitals receive generators and mobile water treatment plants

Kherson medical institutions have received ten generators and two mobile water treatment plants (water filters) from the EU4ResilientRegions programme.

This emergency aid will enable medical facilities in the recently liberated city to continue working in the current emergency conditions, as Russia continues shelling it.

According to Yaroslav Yanushevych, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, one of the most urgent issues in Kherson is providing medical and social institutions with power and drinking water.  “The Kherson region is grateful for the immediate reaction of our partners from the European Union, who are assisting to return not only Ukraine, but also Europe to Kherson,” Yanushevych said.

This ‘EU4ResilientRegions – Special Assistance Programme Ukraine’ is co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
