EU provides generators to Ukrainian customs service

Thanks to EU funding, new diesel generators have been delivered and installed over this August and September to the Ukrainian State Customs Service.

Fifteen Malcomson diesel generators with a capacity of 33 up to 44 kW are now deployed in 15 Customs houses and border crossing points in 11 different regions across Ukraine.

With the new equipment provided, customs offices and customs posts throughout Ukraine will be able to avoid interruptions in the work of critically important customs offices at the border and inland.

This support comes within the EU Support to IBM in Ukraine (EU4IBM) project, implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). The project supports the implementation of reforms approximating the border management system of Ukraine to EU standards. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the EU4IBM project has provided essential equipment to Ukrainian border management agencies for an overall amount of over €2 million.
