Georgia to host Regional Innovation Hub within new Horizon 2020 project for digital innovation in schools

The Shota Rustaveli State University in Georgia is part of an international team implementing a new EU-funded project to accelerate digital innovation in schools.

The iHub4Project was launched on 1 January and will work over 30 months with the aim to develop mechanisms to accelerate whole-school digital innovation in and across schools. The project will establish Regional Innovation Hubs in five European countries including Georgia, with the goal to set up a mentoring model that will be piloted with 600 teachers in 75 schools.

The project, funded under the EU’s Horizon 2020 Programme, will develop different support mechanisms that will support the collaboration between digitally advanced and less advanced teachers and schools.

The iHub4Schools project  is coordinated by Tallinn University in Estonia, with a team of nine beneficiaries from Norway, United Kingdom, Finland, Switzerland, Italy, Estonia, Lithuania and Georgia.
