The Warm Line project was born due to my desire to help others. As a matter of fact, I have a visual disability and I truly understand all the obstacles a person with a disability faces when looking for a job. I know how it feels to hear endless excuses and rejections. When I tried applying for a position as a psychologist in kindergartens and schools, I heard too many times the following standard employer’s answer: “We can’t create special working conditions for you.” That is why I understood that I needed to create my own job. At first, I didn’t understand what kind of job exactly. The idea came to me when I was training people with disabilities to work as operators for the hotline “Stop COVID-19”.
