Media, Justice, and Social Cohesion for Ukraine

Descrierea
The project works to strengthen information integrity and justice in Ukraine. Through training, workshops, learning-by-doing and additional accountability efforts, it equips journalists, civil society actors, and the general public with the tools to recognize and counteract disinformation. It also urges accountability for violations of international law while helping survivors take control of their own narratives.

Training imparts the skills to critically assess narratives, identify propaganda, and promote fact-based reporting. Targeted media campaigns and investigative journalism then apply skills to expose and dismantle false narratives, particularly around issues like the forced deportation of Ukrainian children. TRP’s legal team will also analyze obligations with respect to creating, spreading and amplifying disinformation, and use relevant data from TRP’s archive to submit complaints to domestic and international accountability mechanisms (e.g., United Nations and European Union-based bodies). Lastly, support for torture survivors will help them advocate for redress in fora like the 2027 Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Strengthening survivors’ connections and advocacy skills aims to amplify their voices and priorities for holding perpetrators accountable.
