Vitalina is a graduate in International Political Economy from the University of York in the UK, with a passion for political science research, particularly aspects concerning security matters in Europe and poverty eradication policies in developing countries. Over the past year, she has actively engaged in numerous youth-oriented activities aimed at promulgating accurate information regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine at various leading UK universities, such as King’s College in London, and the University of York. Additionally, Vitalina has continued advocating for EU values among young people in her home country. In 2022, she demonstrated exemplary leadership by spearheading a student-led initiative focused on implementing humanitarian policy responses in the wake of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Together with her team, they organised and coordinated the evacuation process of Ukrainian students, providing over 300 people with temporary free settlements. Recognising Vitalina’s work as a Student Leader, the University of York awarded her with an Honorary Master’s Degree, for her efforts in student protection and promotion of peace.
