Eastern Partnership Integrated Border Management Flagship Initiative: Introduction of an automated intelligent video-control system at the Novaya Huta-Novi Yarylovychi road border crossing point on the Belarus-Ukraine frontier

Project Description
The Project aims to increase the effectiveness of customs procedures at the BCP on the common border between Ukraine and Belarus through enhanced pre-arrival processing capacity, leading to reduced border crossing time.
Specific Objective
- To help improve international cooperation between the customs and border guard services of Belarus and Ukraine.
- To help beneficiary countries increase levels of legal trade, tourism and, as a consequence, tax revenue.
- To contribute to the enhancement of security levels at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
Expected Results
- Automated intelligent video control system complete with equipment, IT hardware and software, is installed, successfully tested and entered into operation.
- Officers working at the target BCP have the skills and knowledge of the system’s use and operation.
- The new system of video-control is installed at the target BCP and fully operational.
